The finalists for this year’s Small
Business of the Year Award were
wonderfully varied in their respective
journeys, their innovations within
each market sector and approach to
scaling their businesses; however,
they were collectively aligned in
having rock solid purpose, infectious
passion and inspiring plans for the
future. I am incredibly aware that
starting a business from the ground
up, trying to compete and scale when
you have small teams, whilst keeping
close to your values as a business
comes with its triumphs but can be
absolutely punishing. All of these
businesses should be so proud of their
achievements to-date and to have got
to the final of this prestigious award.
It was a pleasure to meet and spend
time hearing their individual stories
and myself and fellow judges can’t
wait to celebrate all of their successes
and offer huge congratulations to the
winner at the awards night.”
